Mr. Asim was born in Karachi and brought up in Saudi Arabia. By profession he is an electrical engineer and project management practitioner. Mr. Asim migrated to New Zealand in early 2018 with his family and currently employed by a leading building automation and Integration company in Dunedin. He is an official RED CROSS and Otago Muslim Association (OMA) volunteer. Mr. Asim is also a member of Otago University Pakistani Students Association (OUPSA) as a community advisor/coordinator. Over the last couple of years, he actively engaged and served Pakistani newcomers, students, families, and residents for social tie-ups and collective engagements.

Mr. Asim has been tasked to broaden the PANZ platform in the Otago Region to work on PANZ national inclusiveness strategy, effective engagement with the community and deliver sustained outcomes for Pakistanis in Otago.
