He is currently doing a PhD at the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department of the University of Auckland. His research area is post-disaster recovery and reconstruction, and has conducted and presented case studies in Pakistan, Sri Lanka and New Zealand.
He worked as an Architect and Project Manager in Dubai, U.A.E for four and a half years before moving to New Zealand in 2018. He holds MSc in Construction and Project Management with extensive experience of design and execution projects.
He has a keen interest in writing and published Urdu and English articles on various platforms. He also volunteered for Oxfam NZ on Disaster Risk Reduction projects and several events with Auckland Council.
