Ammar is a purpose-driven leader who believes in a circular economy to deliver sustainable outcomes for businesses, society, and the environment. Sustainability plays a critical role in the 21st-century organization; therefore, he aims to help the organizations in sustainable value creation strategies, focusing on progressive transformation and the individuals associated.

Ammar has expertise in business management, engineering, and global consulting demonstrated through his extensive New Zealand and international engagements in ASIA PACIFIC. Currently, he is employed by New Zealand’s largest Co-operative Group. Ammar holds qualifications from Pearson Edexcel UK, Massey University NZ, and Harvard Business School US. He is a Member of IODNZ (Institute of Directors New Zealand) and is currently inspiring Kiwi kids to become STEM. He is an official ambassador of Wonder Project, Sponsored by Engineering New Zealand.

Ammar is a strong advocate of ongoing professional and community development; therefore: he is looking to encourage other professionals to join PANZ and foster an impactful future for the next generation of Pakistanis in New Zealand. In the past few years, he helped PANZ develop, maintain, and ensure the ongoing development of an appropriate Governance Framework linking PANZ regional representation in New Zealand. He also looked after the PANZ communication portfolio for a few months and worked with Massey University to establish PANZ Bursary Awards for Pakistani students in New Zealand.

Ammar is originally from Lahore and living in New Zealand for more than 15 years. He is currently based in Hamilton with his lovely wife and two sons. He enjoys spending time with his family, cross-fit training, traveling, and reading business journals. Last but not least, Ammar is Cafephile and loves barista-made espresso with friends.
