Mr. Ali Shabbir was born and brought up in Karachi. He lived in the Middle East and England before moving to New Zealand in 2007. He graduated from the University of Karachi, and by profession a businessman. He owns and manages the business side of the Montessori preschool in Hamilton, Waikato.
Mr. Ali Shabbir has been actively organising community events for the past ten years. He has also been involved with NGOs, Social and Ethnic groups in Hamilton. His vision is to unite and involve the Pakistani community from all walks of life of the Waikato region and support them in successfully integrating into Aotearoa society. He aims to link the Pakistani community with other groups, organisations, and ethnicities to foster a stronger bond and relationship and make their presence known and respected.
Since November 2019, he has been tasked to strengthen and broaden the PANZ platform in the Waikato Region, to work on PANZ national inclusiveness strategy, active engagement with the community, and deliver sustained outcomes for Pakistanis in Waikato
