The first successful meet and greet of the PANZ Women Wing event was held on 20/10/2019 at the Fickling Convention Centre, Three Kings.
The event was attended by Pakistani women in Auckland along with MS. Vivian: advisor from the office of Ethnic communities.
This event was organised and presented by the women wing committee, Farah Rais Alvi ( Chief Coordinator), Eimaan Hamid, ( Management Coordinator), Tehseen Farrukh ( Event Coordinator), Nadya Ahmed,( Media Coordinator) and Dr.Nida Syed, ( Event Coordinator). Naila Naseem (consultant) also attended the event, and the team offered their support for the Pakistani women.
Farah Alvi hosted the program that commenced with the National Anthem of Pakistan and New Zealand followed by Talawat e Quran. Farah Alvi then presented the objectives and focuses of the women wing and emphasised on the importance of unity of Pakistani women in the community. She offered guidance and support available on behalf of the PANZ in the areas of education, upskilling, job placement, social and cultural sectors. Members of Women wing were introduced to the audience so that women could seek support and guidance in their relevant fields.
The program was followed by interactive activities, held by Eimaan, Farah, Tehseen, Nida and Nadya. Later complimentary tea & biscuits were served along with the meet and greet portion of the event. A food stall was set up by sister Maryam, with a variety of delicious food on offer. The program finished on time with group pictures and greetings.
